Returns Policy

Faulty Goods

In the event that your goods are found to be faulty please notify Cargo Lane via email within 30 days of the invoice date. Cargo Lane will provide instructions on how to return goods in an appropriate manner. These details can be obtained by contacting us via our contact page.

This returns policy is not intended to exclude or limit any rights which you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or equivalent State or Territory laws.

Goods Damaged in Transit

At Cargo Lane, we take pride & care when packing all our online, phone and mail orders but sometimes accidents occur in transit. If any goods arrive damaged, please contact Cargo Lane as soon as possible. 

Notification of goods arriving damaged must be sent by email and received by us within 14 days of the delivery date.

Cargo Lane does not accept responsibility for goods damaged in transit but we will in most circumstances arrange to have the damaged item replaced.  If the item is no longer in stock we will issue a refund.

Damaged items must be returned to Cargo Lane in the condition received to the following address in full original packaging:

Transit insurance can be purchased separately for your items if you choose.

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection or simply found the goods cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

 

Warranties and Consumer Guarantees

All furniture items come with a minimum 12 month warranty.  This warranty is subject to the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law). The benefits provided in this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, and any other laws in relation to the products to which this warranty relates. The warranty period commences from the date that goods are received for a period of 12 months. 

This warranty covers the replacement or repair of any product that has a manufacturing or material defect that is not the result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used. This warranty is not transferable. Warranty does not apply to goods that have been altered by the user in any way. If a replacement due to a warranty claim is necessary, replacement goods can be shipped to an Australian address only. 

All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

There are nine consumer guarantees that apply to goods you purchase. For further information about the Australian Consumer Law and consumer guarantees, visit www.consumerlaw.gov.au.              

 

Delivery Policy

We deliver to anywhere in Australia. We do not currently deliver outside Australia. If you would like to organise your own shipping internationally, we are able to deliver to any port within Australia for you.

Delivery prices will vary depending on delivery location, and additional charges may be added to the order for remote or difficult to access locations that require special attention. 

Delivery lead time will vary depending on the products ordered and your location.

Depending on the item's weight, size and quantity - different carriers and services might be used to deliver your order. Smaller goods will be delivered by Australia Post or courier, bulky or fragile items by professional furniture removalists.

The freight component is charged by the size, weight and the delivery address.

Please ensure you enter the correct delivery address. Goods which are returned to us as undeliverable will incur a re-dispatch fee. Freight charges paid for the original dispatch are not refundable.
